Soccer Season comes to an end

There's been one thing Calvin has loved over the last few years and that's soccer.  This year he got to be on a team with his buddy Brandon Rodriquez!  They played for a local Stayton team and had a ton of fun.  It's always fun watching him play and it's a great outlet for all that energy he has (o;   




He's a runner and goes quick for the ball.

Especially when he get a goal kick and can sail the ball to the other side of the field.

We got to share part of the season with cousins!

William's a teenager!!!

Never ceases to amaze me how fast time flies by.  I feel like I write that with every single birthday post.  We've officially got a teenager in the house!  William has grown and matured into such a great young man.  He's a quiet, calm, patient and loyal person who knows how to work hard and is proving quite the thinker/creator.   We rented a tiny home in Hope, ID for a fun get away over the weekend and then he later had Sawyer, Kale and Jacob over for an overnighter to celebrate.  Little Ember decided to run off from the truck the moment we let her out at the tiny house.  William was the first to run after her, through muddy streams and all, until we caught her and brought her back.  We then experienced our first time getting to step onto a frozen lake!  There were multiple people ice fishing which was something I'd never seen before! Calvin's schoolwork

 Some things I like to tuck away in a picture for funnies sake later in life (o;  The boys are learning who the Lord is and what that means in their lives and I'm so grateful we can afford to send them to a school that reinforces those values.   The part about Calvin bossing his friends around at soccer just cracked me up. And then his description of how God has shown his power in his life when his Great Grandmalita died...I asked him about this one and he didn't really have a great explanation.  Interesting. Feb. 7th, 2009 His Birthday! 0 weeks, 0 days

Well, I officially got one full day of maternity leave before my little guy decided to enter this world. That just means more time with him! I wrote up a little synopsis of how he decided to enter this world...(for those who are interested) (I had told Curtis when I got closer to my due date, I was going to pack my bags for the hospital in the car and start spending the night at his mom's house when he was at work just so I wasn't alone if I went into labor in the middle of the night. Friday night, Feb. 6th was the first night I spent at his mom's...and a good thing it was...) 3:30am: I awoke to a pop...a rather loud one. For some reason I jumped out of bed (probably startled at the sound) and as soon as I stood up, it was clearly obvious what had happened...my water had broken. 3:45am: I called the hospital to get their suggestion on how long they thought I should wait before coming in...then I called Curtis at work and told him he'd better come quickly. 4am: I ...
