March 22nd, 2012 SNOW!!!

MARCH 13th... Yeah, you're probably reading this thinking I got the date wrong...nope-You read right-we've got snow in mid March. Crazy, I know. It was a little tough for Mom to help William build a snowman while carrying a super-bundled up little (big) brother. I did what I could, and we mustered up a pile of snow he called a "towman" (his way of saying snowman)-his first ever, I might add. Here he is ever so faithfully piling snow...Max didn't help. All he wanted to do was pee on our "towman" Here's Calvin...making a snow angel (o; The poor boy couldn't hardly move I had him bundled up so much. I told him we'd have to wait for Dad to get home from work to build a "real" snowman...Needless to say, he was excited. Not that he knew what I was talking about in reference to a "real" snowman, just loved the thought of getting another chance to play in the snow! The snow had melted quite a bit by the time Dad got home,

March 8th, 2012 Calvin is 4 months old!!!

I couldn't put Calvin in the same outfit William had on in his picture, but I think he's looking more and more like his big brother as he grows. We kept with the overalls/John Deere hat theme... Here's William at 4 months... We are enjoying his wide mouthed smiles and the beginnings of some giggles. He's pretty fond of his brother and often looks over at William, as he bounces around him playing, with his adorable toothless grin. William proudly announces, "Calvin "spiles" (smiles) at me Mom!" He's been drooling like crazy while trying to fit his entire fist into his mouth. He's also been trying to find his voice by making all kinds of cute baby coos of which I love. He's also been sleeping 7hr chunks at night (can I get a big YEAH! from all Mom's who can relate to how exciting this is?!?!). We took him in for his 4 month check up this week and he weighs 17lb 15oz (William was around 13 lbs at 4mo)! Calvin loves his milk!!! And

March 4th, 2012 All about William

Here's the flowers William gave me today...The daffodils are just starting to bloom around here. "Mom! I picked you a flower!" As he runs into the kitchen from outside to hand it to me (o: This evening it was just me and the boys. William loves randomly playing his air "tar" (guitar) while singing at the top of his lungs. I decided to join in with Calvin...Fortunately for you, there wasn't anyone around to video. All inhibitions let go, you should have seen this mama singing her heart out while flailing Calvin's arms like he was playing the drums for us. I know it sounds like torture on Calvin, but you should have heard him-huge smiles spread across his face followed by little giggles (o; It was one of those moments I don't want to forget... Here's another one of those moments... William knows Curtis uses his electric razor to shave. He calls it Daddy's "pokeys" when he's got a scratchy face. The other day, William br

Feb. 22nd-March 2nd Traveling South...

It was time for a trip down South to see my family. Tauna was home from Brazil and we were hoping to have the entire family together to fulfill Mom and Dad's Christmas present-family pictures. We didn't think my brother Chris and his family were going to make it, but they surprised us and made the trip from Georgia (a 36hr drive!)!!! We had my ENTIRE family together...Something that likely won't happen again in the near future (although I wouldn't be against it if it did). We DID get family pictures and I'm told the c.d. is in the mail, on it's way here as I type. Can't wait to see them! On our way down, we stopped in L.A. to visit my Grandma. What a sweet visit. We were so glad it worked out to get to spend some time with her. Thank you Grandma for housing us for the night-It made the 2hr drive the next day to mom and dad's a piece of cake! I think I'll treasure this picture for a lifetime...Precious is the word that comes to mind. I'm
