Feb. 17th, 2011 Dad's sidekick

William's love for tractors and been reinforced as he watches his daddy outside working on the tractor and backhoe during the makings of our garage. It's all he can do to contain himself long enough to get his jacket, hat, gloves and boots to me so that I can help him get them on. Then he waits at the back door saying "Trekta! Mom, Trekta!" If Curtis is up for giving him a ride, I open the door and William runs (literally) to wherever the tractor is, just waiting for daddy to pick him up, sit him on his lap and get to work. It warms my heart to see the two of them out there together. Curtis has even taught William how to lift the bucket on our tractor! Boy was he proud of himself when I got to see it for the first time. Here he is waiting at the front door, crying because I wouldn't let him out yet. William LOVES to help his Daddy. Pouring down rain, and still lovin' it! Drivin' the big backhoe (and no, we don't own it)

Here's the farmer at work, showing Mom his new skill.

I'm impressed! And what cool parents you are to let him play on a REAL tractor! :)
