Annual Gant Family Reunion

We changed up our annual Power's family camping trip in order to make it a little more comfy and convenient for Grandpa and Grandma.  What we didn't realize was that helping out Grandpa and Grandma would lead us to, what I feel, was the best spot we've ever had!  I think we all agreed that from here on out, the cabin rental with tent sites was the way to go!

As always, we had a very enjoyable time with family.  Times like these remind me that we don't see each other often enough (can we ever?).  Life gets busy and schedules fill up which makes it hard.  Now that we're looking at a full time school schedule for William starting in Sept, it's going to change the dynamic of our family a lot.  I want to make sure we take every opportunity to see family when we can.  Lord knows how often I miss family that doesn't live close...And that includes those in Eugene all the way down to Southern CA and all the way back up to MN.

From bike riding for the boys, multiple rounds of 'hand and foot' for the adults, time by the fire, smores, lovely weather and not so lovely wind, walks around the lake, fun time catching up with family at the reunion, ice cream in Powers, and yes, even the unforgettable breakfast hockey puck biscuits with burnt gravy (sorry Lori, I had to make sure we marked it as a memory!), it was a fabulous time.

Here's just a few of my favs...
Cutiepatootie!

The highlight for Cade was getting to use his fishing pole at the lake we were camping next to multiple times.  The highlight for Calvin?  Getting to watch, talk about, pester Cade (only because he loves him so) while he was fishing (o;  I love Cade's expression in this one.

Our annual Auntie Melissa and Uncle Curtis with all the boys pic...

...Yep, this is more like it.

Watching these boys grow over the years as their posed in front of the Wagner House museum just, well, makes me smile.

And again...this is more like it.

How blessed I am to call these mine.

And although Grandpa and Grandma had to leave early so that Grandpa could be back in town for his dialysis, I hope they felt the same way we did; that the trip was well worth the time we all got together.
 We're so thankful for whomever invented dialysis, that allows us more time with our Grandpa (o;
A few of my favs didn't show up in my picture file for some reason...Including one where Luke roasted a marshmallow that perfectly matched his hair color (o;

Until next year!
