I created this blog specifically with Mom & Dad in mind. Even though they can't be here in Oregon to enjoy their grandchildren, I thought this would be one way to help keep them in touch. I am also glad it can be used to keep all of my friends and family in touch as well!

Never ceases to amaze me how fast time flies by. I feel like I write that with every single birthday post. We've officially got a teenager in the house! William has grown and matured into such a great young man. He's a quiet, calm, patient and loyal person who knows how to work hard and is proving quite the thinker/creator. We rented a tiny home in Hope, ID for a fun get away over the weekend and then he later had Sawyer, Kale and Jacob over for an overnighter to celebrate. Little Ember decided to run off from the truck the moment we let her out at the tiny house. William was the first to run after her, through muddy streams and all, until we caught her and brought her back. We then experienced our first time getting to step onto a frozen lake! There were multiple people ice fishing which was something I'd never seen before! They've become quite good friends The way too large Dutch Bros drink that all birthday boys look forward to S...
Today marks the beginning of our Blueberry Season this year! If you'll take note of the date, it's SUPER early this year. Thanks to all the warm weather we've had lately, we're eating off our bushes almost a month earlier than normal. It caught me by surprise. The boys were wandering outside chomping on something and I realized it was blueberries! And they were actually blue! (They've been known to, out of pure angst for the season, take off a few blueish/purple berries and just eat past the slight bitterness) I set out to test the berry's sugar content to make sure we could actually start the picking season and the boys could hardly keep their hands off the bushes. So, I put them to work... William wouldn't even look up for a picture... Just because it's fun to watch them be silly together... And I know these two little faces won't be little forever. Needless to say, they were ripe. I could hardly believe they had caught ...
Some things I like to tuck away in a picture for funnies sake later in life (o; The boys are learning who the Lord is and what that means in their lives and I'm so grateful we can afford to send them to a school that reinforces those values. The part about Calvin bossing his friends around at soccer just cracked me up. And then his description of how God has shown his power in his life when his Great Grandmalita died...I asked him about this one and he didn't really have a great explanation. Interesting. So thankful he loves church
